Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – February 6

Martin St Louis

Columbus Blue Jackets at Los Angeles Kings

After losing three games in a row, the Jackets have now won three straight and allowed just five goals against in the meantime. That includes a 4-2 win in Anaheim on Monday night to start off this Western road trip. Notably, there are some players that are absolutely en fuego right now, namely Ryan Johansen. Johansen has four goals and five points in his last three games and has generated at least two shots on goal in every game in 2014. Besides him, Sergei Bobrovsky is back on the case, having allowed just five goals on his last 104 shots against over three wins, a .952 save percentage.

Los Angeles scored three goals in their last game which equaled their output for the six games before that. Coincidentally, they also lost that game 5-3 to Chicago. This is a team that has lost a lot of games over the last six weeks and it’s still a little bit of puck luck, but mostly they just can’t score. I’m not sure that problem gets remedied tonight when facing Sergei Bobrovsky and a surging Jackets team.

This game is a toss-up for me because Los Angeles is the better team but Columbus has been playing extremely well for the last couple of months. These two teams met in Columbus a couple of weeks ago with the Jackets taking a 5-3 win from Los Angeles. I don’t think tonight is as high scoring as that game but the Jackets are in a good position to win this one.
