Daily Fantasy Hockey DFS Value Update – January 25

Boston Bruins at Philadelphia Flyers

Boston is coming into this game a very well-rested team, having not played since last Monday, a 3-2 win at home against Los Angeles. This is a team that has struggled with consistency of late with a record of 6-5-1 since the Christmas break and alternating wins and losses for their last six games. What’s most amazing is that they have given up 12 power play goals against in those 12 games, giving them a pretty bad 72.2-percent PK efficiency since Christmas.

The Flyers are now 5-5-2 in 2014 and have lost three games in a row for just the third time since the middle of October. Goals against have been their biggest problem lately as they’ve allowed 39 goals against in their 12 games this calendar year which includes 17 goals against in five home games. It’s very, very hard to rely on either of their goalies right now, so the skaters are the only thing to look at from this team for now.

Somehow, this is the first time these two teams have met this year. It’s pretty tough to cap this one because of the layoff the Bruins have had and how bad the Flyers’ goaltending has been of late. Again, I won’t be taking either goalie out of this game but will have some skaters to go around.

Note: keep an eye on Dougie Hamilton. He’s been cleared for play and it’s up to the coach to dress him or not. He’s had time on the second power play unit and could make a decent play if he dresses.
