Edmonton Oilers at Minnesota Wild
The Oilers made significant moves yesterday, sending Devan Dubnyk to Nashville for forward Matt Hendricks and then acquiring Ben Scrivens from Los Angeles for a third round pick. It’s doubtful that Scrivens gets the nod tonight, so I would anticipate Ilya Bryzgalov in net for the Oilers and he has given up 20 goals against in his last five games and 11 in his last three games (a sterling .871 save percentage).
Minnesota has typically been a good home team this year, though they are just 2-4 in their last six games at the Xcel Energy Centre with their only wins coming against Buffalo and Washington. Offense has been a problem for them regardless of where they play, though, as they have 11 goals in five games since Mikko Koivu left the lineup.
It’s possible that Josh Harding gets the start tonight for Minnesota and while it’s good to see him back in the lineup, it makes me nervous for DFS: Harding has only played two games in the last 30 days and his health problems are well-documented. Keep an eye on the goaltending situation for tonight.
I fully expect Minnesota to win this game, though I said that about their game at home to Ottawa so at just look for value plays.
