The 49ers recorded back-to-back sacks to push the Panthers out of field goal range and force a punt after a 13-play, seven-minute drive. Newton finished with 16-of-25 passing for 267 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions. He also added 10 carries for 54 yards on the ground.
