Boston Bruins at Los Angeles Kings
After putting up a fight for most of the game, the Bruins faltered down the stretch in their first California game, losing 5-2 to Anaheim on Tuesday night. The Bruins only managed 20 shots on goal that game, their lowest output since the end of November. Boston has allowed seven power play goals against in their last four games, but that shouldn’t be much of a concern playing a team that is 24th in the NHL in power play efficiency.
The Kings are on a pretty big slide that has gone on longer than expected; Los Angeles has one win in their last seven games (1-5-1) and have scored just ten goals over that stretch. It’s certainly not for a lack of trying – their last three games have produced four goals on 119 shots, an amazingly bad 3.4-percent shooting – but with the power play cold and their even-strength goal totals not improving, the goals are a problem for Los Angeles right now.
This game screams low goal totals, and that makes Jonathan Quick a decent play based on his price. Another win and his price probably climbs ~7-8-percent so get in now while you can.
