Philadelphia Flyers at Colorado Avalanche
Philadelphia has had their problems on the road for most of the season. That is, until this road trip they’re currently on that they’ve won three straight to open up (and four straight overall). Granted, two of those games were shootouts and two of those games were Edmonton and Calgary, but points are points.
After losing four straight games for the first time all year, Colorado pulled out a 5-3 win at home against Columbus, which included three power play goals. That makes eight power play goals for Colorado in their last seven games, a part of their game that had been a big problem for most of the season.
Philadelphia has scored at least three goals in eight straight games while the Avalanche have scored 14 in their last five, so I expect this game to feature at least six goals. In that sense, I don’t like either goaltender tonight because this game could go either way.
Of note is that P.A. Parenteau will be out until after the Olympic break with a knee injury, and in their first game without him, Jamie McGinn took his spot on the top line alongside Matt Duchene and Ryan O’Reilly for most of the game.
