New York Rangers at Tampa Bay Lightning
Even though they haven’t really had the results to show for it, the Rangers’ offense has been flying of late; the team has had at least 32 shots on goal in six of their last seven games, and they have averaged nearly 40 shots on goal over their last three games. This has only led to a 3-3-1 record, but it includes five power play goals, and eventually, they have to start filling the net.
Tampa Bay is playing their second game of a back-to-back tonight and the anticipation is that Anders Lindback will get the start for the Bolts. Since becoming a member of the Lightning, Lindback sports a worrisome .898 save percentage, and he’s sitting at .889 for this season.
On a night where there aren’t many great matchups, this is one game where I’ll be looking to a lot of Rangers players. As I said, their offense has been much better as of late, Lindback isn’t a very good goalie, and Tampa Bay is playing their second game in as many nights. All signs point to New York.
