Los Angeles Kings at Nashville Predators
The Kings are 8-1-2 in their last 11 games on the road, with their only loss coming in Chicago, not exactly a shocker.
I will say this out of the gate: Martin Jones’ salary is much too high to consider in a daily game. It came down after his recent game, but his price point now is where he has to have a 19-save one-goal-against win or you’ve lost value. In these formats, when you have to rely on a goalie allowing probably one goal or less, you’re dancing with fire, so to speak.
That is no ringing endorsement of Nashville, but rather just a reality of this daily fantasy game. It’s also not to say that I don’t think Los Angeles will win this game, they probably will, but having to rely on one goal or fewer is a bit much to swallow.
Nashville already has one win against Los Angeles this year, a 4-3 regulation win in Los Angeles at the start of November. The Predators scored four goals on just 17 shots that game, if it gives you an indication of the disparity between these two teams.
