New Jersey Devils at New York Islanders
The most important piece of information you can know about this game is:
JOHN TAVARES: Will not be in the lineup for tonight's game. … http://t.co/kaLzNFhVl7 #fantasyhockey

That is a player that the Islanders can ill-afford to lose: New York has scored 92 goals this year and John Tavares has 39 points, meaning he’s been in on over 40-percent of the Islanders’ goals this year. Considering they only have 23 goals in 11 games this month, that doesn’t bode well for this team.
This will be the fourth time this month that the Devils play on back-to-back nights. Surprisingly, for a team that relies on older players for their success, the Devils are 3-0 in those games this month. I would be more concerned about the back-to-back if they weren’t going to be starting Cory Schneider, and if they didn’t just have three days off.
It could be low-scoring, but with Tavares out, it’s a great spot to grab Schneider, especially at his price point right now.
