Minnesota Wild at Winnipeg Jets
Minnesota limped into their off days by losing three straight games, being outscored 13-4 in those games. In fact, the Wild have only scored 12 goals total in their last nine games, with their power play operating at a 12-percent efficiency in those games.
The Jets, meanwhile, have had a rough December as they’ve gone 4-6-1 in 11 games this month and haven’t won back-to-back games in a calendar month.
These two teams have already met twice this year, with Minnesota taking both games by scores of 3-2 (SO) and 2-1. In other words, these are two teams that haven’t been scoring a ton of goals lately and there is a history of low scores between these two teams.
Of note is that Zach Parise will not play tonight, while Josh Harding has made the trip to Winnipeg. It’s uncertain if he will start in net tonight for the Wild, but it would be a big boost to a team that can’t afford to give up many goals right now.
