Colorado Avalanche at San Jose Sharks
For two teams that were powerhouses to start the season, they have nine regulation losses between them in the month of December in 20 games, or a combined record of 8-9-3.
These are also two teams that are struggling to score at times; the Sharks have averaged just 2.3 goals for/game this month, while the Avalanche are at 2.4 goals for/game this month. I expect a game similar to that one in Calgary, probably a 3-2 game either way.
The expectation of five goals or less, for me, means that I’m not overly keen on too many players in this game. The Avs and Sharks have only scored nine power play goals in 20 games this month between the two teams, or a combined 12.9-percent efficiency.

Thanks everyone for reading and following along. I will have an update on the value returned on my picks sometime very early in 2014.
This is also the last slate of NHL games until the 27th so if you want to get your DFS hockey fix, tonight is the last night to do so for a few days.
Good luck with today’s games!
