Hopefully by now you know the drill for this StarStreet daily fantasy football roster building piece, where I try to put together some StarStreet quarterback combinations you can build your team around.
The definition of value varies from DFS player to DFS player, so this week I wanted to show you a few combinations I would personally roll with on StarStreet this week.
Let’s start with ‘The Mega Powers’ division, where I have my eyes on Colin Kaepernick at $12,700, and Jay Cutler at $11,900.
Kaepernick has a great on-paper match-up, facing an Atlanta Falcons defense that has given up multiple passing touchdowns to every quarterback they’ve faced this season, except for Cam Newton, EJ Manuel, and Matt Flynn, but Newton and Manuel each added one score on the ground.
Kirk Cousins lit up the Falcons last week for 381 yards, and three touchdowns, but did get intercepted twice.
Kaepernick has been playing fairly well recently, with a 9:2 passing touchdown to interception ratio in his past five games. While the high passing yard stats aren’t there for Kap on a consistent basis, he’s always a threat to run.
StarStreet awards only four points per passing touchdown, and Kap’s averaging just over 32 yards rushing per game this season, and has scored three rushing touchdowns. He also has two games of nine rushes in his past four.
The Falcons have allowed two touchdowns on the ground this year, and four quarterbacks have rushed for 20 yards or more against them.
If paying for a high priced quarterback, it never hurts to pay for one who can score you bonus #KonamiCode points.
Jay Cutler has one of the friendliest fantasy match-ups this week, as the Bears face an Eagles defense that was just destroyed by Matt Cassel and the Minnesota Vikings, to the tune of 48 points, and six touchdowns.
Three of those Vikings touchdowns came from Cassel, as he threw for two, and ran for another.
If we ignore the Week 14 blizzard game for a moment, the Eagles have allowed three straight quarterbacks to threw for at least two touchdowns against them.
Again ignoring Week 14, almost every starting quarterback to face the Eagles this year has thrown for at least 250 yards, with five straight such performances, with Eli Manning’s 246 passing yards in Week 8 being the lowest total.
Cutler shook off some rust last week, in route to a 265 passing yard, three touchdown, two interception day versus the Cleveland Browns, and could be in store for a high-end QB1 type of fantasy day Sunday night.
If you’re looking for a wildcard line-up, where you almost punt the quarterback position, a Jason Campbell/Matt Schaub ‘New Age Outlaws’ combination would only cost you a combined $19,000.
Going with these two low priced quarterbacks allows you to fill out the rest of your roster with a number of studs, as both Schaub and Campbell are in the bargain bin of StarStreet quarterbacks this week.
Campbell faces the New York Jets this week, and Schaub is released from his cocoon to take on the Denver Broncos.
Both of those teams are in the bottom ten of passing yards per game allowed, with Denver allowing the fifth most passing yards per game, and the Jets coming in at number seven.
Each team has also allowed a high number of passing touchdowns on the season, with the Broncos giving up 26 passing touchdowns, and the Jets allowing 25. The most passing touchdowns allowed by one team this year is the Minnesota Vikings, who have given up 32.
If you tack on Ryan Griffin at his $5,900 price tag with this grouping, you could potentially trot out a line-up that features Jamaal Charles, A.J. Green, Dez Bryant, Vernon Davis, and Josh Gordon, if you’re into that sort of thing.
A couple of names I didn’t get to, who I also like this week are Kirk Cousins ($10,200), and Mike Glennon ($10,200).
I feel Cousins, at his price range will be in a lot of line-ups this week, and if you’re looking to find an advantage in a tournament setting, he might not help set your line-up apart.
If you’re looking to put together the best line-up possible, ignoring starting percentages, then it’s hard to ignore Cousins, who just came off a game where he threw for 381 passing yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions, and has a match-up against the Dallas Cowboys.
The Cowboys have allowed two straight quarterbacks to throw for four touchdowns against them, and is something that has occurred in three of their last five games. It’s hard to ignore Cousins, when you look at the numbers, and you can stack him with Pierre Garçon.
As for Glennon, he’s going up against a St. Louis Rams defense allowing 328.4 passing yards per game in their last five, and Glennon has thrown for two touchdowns in four of his last five games, including two against the 49ers last week.
Glennon isn’t known for throwing a lot of yards, but that could change if the volume is there for Glennon against a Rams defense that has seen an average of 44 pass attempts thrown their way the last five games.

You should be able to mix and match any of the above six quarterbacks, and form a strong StarStreet quarterback combination, who you can build your team around.
