Vancouver Canucks at Chicago Blackhawks
If you’re looking to stack a lineup, here it is.
After winning seven games in a row, the Canucks have now lost back to back games and have scored just three goals in those games. Of course, they’re still a pretty good hockey team, but this appears to perhaps be the beginning of a mini-slide, and they are playing on the road on back-to-back nights and get the defending Stanley Cup champions in the second game. Yikes.
The Blackhawks have won six of their last seven games, putting 28 shots behind opposing goalies in the meantime. They have scored a power play goal in 10 consecutive games, scoring 14 total power play goals over those games. This team is an absolute buzz-saw right now, and no goalie should be started against them.
The problem with this game is that it’s clearly the most likely to be high-scoring, which means a lot of people should be leaning to it. You won’t be able to separate yourself in a big tournament, but in 50/50s, you can make up the difference elsewhere.
