Daily Fantasy Hockey Update and Value Picks – December 14

Patrick Kane

Tampa Bay Lightning at New Jersey Devils

In Saturday’s Sadness Bowl, we have two teams that are a 3-6-3 in their last 12 combined games.

Tampa Bay has scored 10 goals in their last six games, and their power play is just 2-for-19 over those games. In five of those six games, the Lightning haven’t cracked the 30-shot mark, and it doesn’t look good for them to do that tonight.

New Jersey has allowed 11 goals in their last three games, but haven’t allowed more than 30 shots on goal since November 21st. By and large, this has to do with the goaltending of Martin Brodeur more than anything. I would expect Brodeur to be in net to night for the Devils, so I wouldn’t be afraid to take a value pick from Tampa.

That said, this game is screaming “2-1 (SO)”.
