We’re back to only one Thursday game on the NFL schedule this week, with a Week 12 re-match between the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars waiting for you to channel surf throughout the course of the game.

With only two teams going on Thursday night, that means we only have two quarterbacks to consider, if you plan on making an early Thursday StarStreet lineup this week.

Let’s just throw Chad Henne’s name out the window, as you probably aren’t considering him and his $9,100 price tag to build your 2-QB StarStreet line-up around.

The only confirmed starting quarterbacks cheaper than Henne are Matt McGloin and Matt Cassel. You can add Alex Tanney’s name to that list, if it turns out Tanney gets the starting nod this week.

With that group of illustrious signal callers, you get a sense of what Henne’s value is.

That leaves us with Case Keenum, who costs $11,400 on StarStreet this week.

If you remember the last time Keenum faced the Jaguars, you’ll (not-so) fondly recall it being the game Keenum officially broke the hearts of all daily fantasy players that bought into him as a starting option that week in the DFS world.

You might have tried your hardest to forget Keenum’s performance from Week 12, but here’s a brief reminder: 169 passing yards, and one interception.

That’s it.

It was the worst performance by a  quarterback versus the Jaguars this season, and it was also Keenum’s worst day as a starting NFL quarterback.

What made Keenum’s performance that day such an utter disappointment had to do with how the Jaguars had given up 20+ fantasy points in three straight games.

DFS players put plenty of trust into Keenum to turn around his in-game beaching from the previous week, and he stabbed us in the back. We all felt as betrayed as Johnny from ‘The Room’ did, when he listened to an intimate phone call between his best friend Mark, and his girlfriend Lisa. ‘Why, Lisa, why!?’

For DFS players willing to forget that performance while factoring lineup decisions this week, Keenum’s an interesting player to consider.

Again, he faces a Jaguars defense that has seen four out the past five quarterbacks they have faced put up at least 20 fantasy points. That includes Brandon Weeden last week. The matchup looks good on paper. But we said that in Week 12, too.
A bounce back game of sorts did take place in Week 13 for Keenum, as he was able to throw for nearly 300 yards against the Patriots, and score one rushing touchdown on the ground.

Keenum didn’t throw a touchdown pass against the Patriots though, and in his past two games he has zero passing touchdowns to his name, to go alongside three interceptions.

Keenum comes in as the 18th highest priced fantasy quarterback on StarStreet this week, accounting for 11.4 % of your spending budget.

I can’t imagine too many DFS players clamoring to insert Keenum into their lineup this week, so if you’re looking to gain an edge by going against the grain, Keenum could be one way of doing so.

Inserting a player many might fade looks to be the only reason I would pay for Keenum this week on StarStreet.

Spending the extra $100 dollars on Josh McCown versus the Cowboys would be a much more advisable move, if you were to ask me.

Or, if you wanted to save money, EJ Manuel is a $1000 cheaper than Keenum.

The $1000 you would save going with Manuel over Keenum would be enough to afford Michael Floyd ($11,200) over Jarrett Boykin ($10,200), if it came down to that decision, for example.

In the end, you have to figure out what type of team you want to build on StarStreet, and where to save money, and where to splurge your virtual dollars.

Sunday will be here soon enough, and look for another installment of StarStreet roster building to hit your computer screen later in the week, where I focus on the other 15 games scheduled in the NFL this week.
