The injury bug hasn’t been as brutal in the last few weeks as it was for the first half of the season but there are still plenty of ailments around the league. Let’s take a look at who’s in and who’s out for this week’s slate of games and how it impacts your fantasy football lineup.
Andre Ellington (knee): Ellington hurt his knee in practice this week and will be a gametime decision for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
Tony Gonzalez (toe): Gonzalez is listed as questionable with a toe injury he’s been dealing with for several weeks but he’s expected to play on Sunday against the Bills.
DeAngelo Williams (quadriceps): Williams hasn’t practiced due to a quad injury and is highly questionable for Sunday’s game. If he doesn’t go, Tolbert and Stewart, who are banged up as well, could get a fantasy bump. Tolbert and Williams combined for 25.2 standard fantasy points last time the Panthers played the Bucs.
Mike Tolbert (knee): Like the rest of the backfield, Tolbert is dealing with a leg injury but he’s expected to play on Sunday against the Bucs.
Jonathan Stewart (ankle): Stewart is still dealing with an ankle injury but he’s expected to play on Sunday and is the healthiest of all the Panthers backs so he could be a sneaky start.
Jay Cutler (ankle): Cutler remains out with an ankle injury and will not play this week, leaving Josh McCown behind center once again.
Jason Campbell (concussion): Campbell has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jags, leaving Brandon Weeden behind center for the Browns.
Julius Thomas (knee): Thomas remains limited but is expected to play against the Chiefs this week.
Ben Tate (ribs): Tate remains limited in practice with broken ribs but he’s expected to play through his injury once again.
Aaron Dobson (foot): Dobson has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Texans with a foot injury.
Brandon Jacobs (knee): Jacobs has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Skins which means Andre Brown will likely handle the overwhelming majority of the Giants’ carries.
Chris Ivory (ankle): Despite a high and low ankle sprain, Ivory is listed as probable for this week’s game against Miami. Expect Bilal Powell to handle the majority of the touches, though.
Jeremy Kerley (elbow): Kerley is still recovering from a dislocated elbow and has been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
Santonio Holmes (hamstring): Holmes was a surprise DNP on Thursday and is now highly questionable for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins after tweaking his hammy.
Frank Gore (ankle): Gore has been updated to probable and is fully expected to play on Sunday.
Zac Stacy (concussion): Stacy has been cleared to play after leaving last week’s game with a concussion so he’ll suit up against the Niners.
Jordan Reed (concussion): Reed passed his concussion tests but will need to be reevaluated before being cleared. He’s expected to play and is very startable.
