About a month into the Fantasy Hockey season is a good time to really evaluate your team. Many have pushed the panic button already, many have sat dormant, hopefully you land somewhere in the middle of the two.

Below are a number of solid options available in many leagues. If you’re in need of a boost, don’t sit idle, get active and get some new life in your lineup.

Novemeber 7th Fantasy Hockey Waiver Wire

C Kyle Turris, Ottawa Senators: He’ll fly under the radar with Jason Spezza, Erik Karlsson and Bobby Ryan grabbing the headlines, but Turris has an elite shot and excellent vision. Eight helpers and 24 shots on goal in the last two weeks can help any fantasy team.

C David Legwand, Nashville Predators: Once tabbed America’s next Mike Modano, Legwand has quietly had a nice career in Music City. Over the past 14 days, the team’s first ever draft pick has filled the stat line with excellent production. Legwand is still only a deeper league play though.

C Mikael Granlund, Minnesota Wild: The sophomore is showing why he was so highly regarded entering the league last season. Centering the Wild’s second line has helped Granlund post seven points in his last six games, the second fiddle power play time helps too. He is on the rise.

C/LW Chris Kreider, New York Rangers: Expectations might have been a little high after Kreider’s surge onto the scene during the 2012 playoffs, but the 22-year-old is getting hot again. He is getting top power play minutes and has two goals and three assists in his last four games.

LW/RW Shane Doan, Phoenix Coyotes: With nine points, five of which were goals, in his last ten games, the team-first vet is leading a surprising Coyotes team again. Doan is a must own in hits leagues, but his feisty play make him a well-rounded fantasy option.

LW/RW Todd Bertuzzi, Detroit Red Wings: He is locked in at even strength and with the man advantage with Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk, which helps. Even better though, he is producing solid numbers. You know what you’re going to get here, Bertuzzi will chip in, it isn’t 2002.

D Radko Gudas, Tampa Bay Lightning: If you’re in a league that counts hits and blocked shots, Gudas is a must own, if not, he still has plenty of value going forward. He can help in penalty minutes and has now begun to see considerable power play time, a great thing given the Lightnings’ dominance with the man advantage.

D Torey Krug, Boston Bruins: Still widely available, there is no reason to second guess adding Krug if you need blue line help. The former Hobey Baker winner has five goals on the season and spends some time in the penalty box.

D Ryan McDonagh, New York Rangers: He is playing more power play minutes of late and it is paying off. McDonagh shouldn’t be confused with an offensive defenseman, but as long as he is playing on the Rangers top PP unit, he’ll have additional offensive opportunities.

G Robin Lehner, Ottawa Senators: Finally grabbed his first win of the season last night, there is a chance for the youngster to earn additionally playing time when Craig Anderson does return. More importantly for fantasy owners, Anderson’s return is unknown, it is Lehner’s crease for now.

G Brian Elliott, St. Louis Blues: It is Jaroslav Halak‘s net, but the Blues play excellent team defense and stand to win the majority of their games. Therefore, whenever Elliott is in nets, he’ll be an excellent fantasy start.

G Frederik Andersen, Anaheim Ducks: He has more wins than he does starts and could push Jonas Hiller for additional starts going forward. Andersen boasts a 1.36 goals against average, a .952 save percentage and the Ducks can score.
