Some corners, like Richard Sherman, Darrelle Revis, Leon Hall, and Patrick Peterson, can make any great receiver put up a big goose egg in any fantasy week. This week, it’s the Titans receivers who face a tough Seahawks matchup and although the secondary isn’t as good behind Sherman, I wouldn’t consider starting Nate Washington or anyone else.

Outside of Alshon Jeffery, the Saints have been able to shut down Vincent Jackson, Larry Fitzgerald, Mike Wallace, and Brandon Marshall so all of the New England receivers carry some significant risk. The Colts secondary hasn’t been quite as good and have allowed big games to fairly mediocre receivers like Denarius Moore, Mike Wallace, and Golden Tate so I’d take a shot on the San Diego receivers.

The Texans have shut down every receiver they’ve faced in the last three weeks so I wouldn’t start any of the Rams’ receivers, nor would I risk starting any of the Seattle receivers with a tough matchup against the Titans secondary.

DeSean Jackson, on the other hand, I’d start even against Revis. The Bucs have allowed big games to Larry Fitzgerald and Kenbrell Thompkins over the last two weeks. I can’t say the same for Boldin against the Cards, Patrick Peterson has shut down Marques Colston, Vincent Jackson, and Steve Smith already.

The 49ers have shut down every receiver they’ve seen since Week 1 so all of the Cards receivers, including Larry Fitzgerald, are a risk this week.

I’d start the New Orleans’ receivers against the Pats, though, since they haven’t seen too many good receivers and allowed a big game to Julio Jones. They also haven’t seen a quarterback like Drew Brees. If Calvin Johnson plays, I’d definitely start him against the Browns.

The most favorable matchups this week are Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams against a terrible Philly D, A.J. Green vs. BUF, Torrey Smith vs. GB, Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton vs. SD, Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams vs. WAS, the Giants receivers vs. CHI, the Bears receivers vs. the Giants, and anyone in Pittsburgh and Houston. Steve Smith is a good play against the Vikes and the other two receivers could be solid sneaky plays.

Let’s take a look at all of the Week 6 fantasy football wide receiver matchups.
