Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup for June 3

daily fantasy baseball picks

Welcome to the first week of June baseball. By now, we know which players are for real and which have some work to do. And my daily Star Fantasy Leagues lineup happens to include some of each. So, join me over at SFL and use the promo code “SJN” for a 40% deposit bonus.

(C) Jonathan Lucroy $6,454 – Lucroy is just three days removed from a five-hit, two home run performance and has hits in his last eight games.

(1B) Jason Giambi $5,665 – It’s hard to believe I’m even considering using the 42-year-old, but he’s had home runs in his last three games and seven RBI in that stretch. He also returns to New York where he enjoyed some of the best years of his career. Just make sure he’s actually in the lineup before adding him to yours tonight.

(2B) Neil Walker $6,778 – Walker has cooled off a little since his very successful end to May, going just 1 for his last 11. In his career against opposing starter Kris Medlen, though, he is 3-for-6.

(3B) Juan Uribe $4,898 – It’s hard to feel confident about any Dodgers’ hitter these days, but I’m going to use Uribe tonight. He has hits in 8 of 10 games and maybe the addition of minor league stud Yasiel Puig will inspire the rest of the lineup.

(SS) Jean Segura $8,205 – Two months into the season and Segura is still hitting .350. I like the consistency.

(OF) Domonic Brown $8,445 – How can I not have Brown in my lineup the way he’s been hitting lately? With eight home runs in his last nine games he is now the National League leader. He’s also riding a seven-game hitting streak during which he’s hit .444.

(OF) Marcell Ozuna $5,455 – Ozuna continues to produce for the Marlins since being called up and is hitting .333 on the season. He’s also coming off a performance against the Mets in which he fell a home run short of the cycle.

(OF) B.J. Upton $4,008 – This is a total gut call. He’s still only hitting .156 this year, but is 3 for his last 8 and hit his fifth home run of the season yesterday. Maybe the threat of a trip to the minors is enough to get the elder Upton back on track.

(U) Michael Cuddyer $9,545 – Cuddyer is putting together a very nice season in Colorado and is on a hot streak now. He has 12 hits in six games and has a home run in each of his last two.

(SP) Lance Lynn $12,895 – Lynn only has one loss this year, which came nearly a month ago. He averages nearly seven innings and seven strikeouts a game. Even with a matchup against Arizona, he should still put up good numbers at home.

(SP) A.J. Burnett $15,015 – Burnett continues his career resurgence in Pittsburgh. In 10 starts this year, he has gone six innings or more all but once and has yet to give up more than three earned runs in any appearance.

(RP) Edward Mujica $2,105 – With a starter like Lynn going for the Cardinals, tonight, a save chance for Mujica could be in the offing.

(P) Eric Stults $10,455 – Ever since allowing five runs to the Giants in late April, Stults has been much better. He had a 2.66 ERA in May and averaged nearly seven innings a start. He’s also coming off a season-high 12-strikeout performance against the Mariners and faces an under-achieving and beat up Dodgers team.
