Yesterday I presented two daily fantasy NHL lineups. One scored 43.70 points and the other scored 39.40 points. Both made it into the top half of the 50/50’s I played and won us a little cash. Again, I’ll try to keep the streak going.
I’m taking cheap goaltending once again with Joey MacDonald at $5,500. The only reason I trust MacDonald is because Calgary is at home. They are 10-6-2 at home this season.
Here’s how I’ll round out the rest of my FanDuel lineup:
LW: Bobby Ryan $6,200—Ryan has a goal and two assists over his past three games. He also has 12 shots and is plus-3 over that time.
LW: Curtis Glencross $5,400—Like MacDonald, I’m taking Glencross because Calgary is at home. Is he a plus/minus risk? Yes he is. But we need some value here and he has 14 goals this season.
RW: Jarome Iginla $6,200—Iginla had a goal and six shots on net against Buffalo on Apr. 2. I think he’s a bargain at $6,200.
RW: Brendan Gallagher $5,700—Gallagher has two goals and one assist over his past three games.
C: Claude Giroux $7,800—Giroux is averaging a point per game this season. He had three points and seven shots against Washington on Mar. 31.
C: Evgeni Malkin $8,300—Malkin has a point in three straight games.
D: Brent Burns $5,200—The defenseman as forward is too intriguing to pass up.
D: Dennis Wideman $4,300—I’ll go with Wideman simply for his power play minutes. Matt Niskanen would also fit in this space.
G: Joey MacDonald $5,500—Back to my cheap goalie love. His numbers are not great—4-5-1, 2.79 GAA and a terrible .898 save percentage—but I’m banking on a strong home performance by Calgary.
