Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks for April 2

Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green

The last time we made our FanDuel daily fantasy NHL picks our team scored 42 points and we easily made it in the money in our 50/50’s. I’ll try to keep the streak alive by leaning on Boston, Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. Anton Khudobin is the probable starter for Boston tonight and is coming off a shutout against Buffalo. Boston gets an Ottawa team ranked 25th in the league in scoring. The only caveat is Khudobin is not confirmed yet. Keep tabs on his status throughout the day.

Here’s how I’ll round out the rest of my FanDuel lineup:

LW: Tyler Ennis BUF@ PIT $6,300—Ennis strung together a pretty decent March and has two assists over his past three games. He sees power play time and has seen about 18-20 minutes of ice time per night.

LW: Chris Kunitz BUF@PIT $9,000—I’m not thrilled that he’s now on a line with Tyler Kennedy and Pascal Dupuis but his 44 points this season are difficult to ignore. I’ll offer a secondary lineup below with Alexander Ovechkin in this space.

RW: Tomas Kopecky FLA@TB $4,600—When you dip below the $5,000 mark you have to start looking for potential upside. For that we’ll go with Kopecky. He has 22 points this season and sees power play time.

RW: Justin Williams LA@PHO $6,700—Williams has come alive recently and has a goal in three straight games.

C: Alex Killorn FLA@TB $4,100—Killorn had a goal and and one assist against New Jersey on Mar. 29. He saw some power play minutes but more importantly he saw minutes with Steven Stamkos and Martin St. Louis.

C: Steven Stamkos FLA@TB $8,900

D: Mike Green WAS@CAR $4,700—Green finally seems healthy and it’s showing up in the stat column. He has two goals, one assist and eight shots on net over his past two games.

D: Dougie Hamilton OTT@BOS $4,400—I’ll keep rolling with Hamilton until he truly lets me down. He has a goal and eight shots on net over his past three games.

G: Anton Khudobin OTT@BOS $6,500—Check his status before the lineups lock.
