Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks – March 16

St. Louis Blues right wing Chris Stewart

Our winning streak was snapped yesterday and I may banish Ryan Whitney to the daily fantasy dungeon for the rest of the season. His -2 fantasy points were symptomatic of the team as a whole and my reluctance to use anyone from Detroit hurt me as Niklas KronwallPavel Datsyuk and Henrik Zetterberg were all productive last night.

The following picks are for the late games only at FanDuel:

LW: R.J. Umberger $5,100—Umberger plays on the first power play unit and has seen over 19 minutes of ice time in four straight games. Two of his five goals have come this month.

LW: Brandon Saad $5,400—Saad has six points over his past five games.

RW: Chris Stewart $6,000—Stewart has been on fire with four goals in his past two games.

RW: Phil Kessel $7,500—Kessel has six points over his past three games. He finally seems to be truly heating up.

C: Adam Henrique $5,300—It may not last but Henrique has five goals this month including a two goal outburst against Philly on March 13.

C: Steven Stamkos $9,000

D: Jacob Muzzin $4,700—Muzzin has three points in his past three games. He can also really help your plus/minus as he’s a plus-11 this season.

D: P.K. Subban $6,900—Subban has five points in his last tw0 games. He seems to be a multiple point machine recently so I’ll break my own rule of not paying high prices for defenseman here.

G: Jake Allen $4,400—Cheap goaltending at its finest.
