We got back in the saddle yesterday at FanDuel. I entered our lineup into two head-to-heads and two 50/50’s—we went 2-0 in our head-to-heads and finished in the top five in both 50/50’s. We are now 35-24 in head-to-head matchups for the fantasy hockey season.
This is the lineup I’ll enter into some FanDuel 50/50’s and head-to-heads tonight:
LW: James van Riemsdyk $6,800—James van Riemsdyk ripped the souls out of fantasy owners on Feb. 27 with a minus-4 rating but he bounced back with a goal against the Islanders on Feb. 28. I like van Riemsdyk’s price at $6,800.
LW: Andrew Cogliano $5,100—This pick came down to Cogliano and Cory Conacher. Feel free to use either in this spot as they are both $5,100. Cogliano had a hat-trick against Phoenix on March 2nd and he plays them again tonight. Conacher is also an intriguing play against Pittsburgh in what could be a high scoring game. The call is yours.
RW: Teddy Purcell $6,400—Purcell has 17 assists in 21 games this season. He could be good for a few tonight against Pittsburgh.
RW: Pascal Dupuis $5,700—Dupuis has value as long as he’s paired with Crosby.
C: Sidney Crosby $9,900—There’s not much to say about Crosby. You know him. You could go with Stamkos at $9,400 if you wanted to free up $500 to play around with elsewhere in the lineup.
C: Nazem Kadri $6,100—Kadri has seven points in his last four games including a hat-trick on Feb. 28. His price is rising on FanDuel but he’s still a good play at $6,100.
D: Cam Fowler $3,600—Fowler gets over 21 minutes of ice time per game and had five shots on goal against Phoenix on March 2nd.
D: Roman Josi $4,200—I keep going back to Josi in these picks. I obviously don’t expect a four point explosion like he had on Feb. 25 against Dallas but I like his pairing with Shea Weber on the power play.
G: Jonas Hiller $7,400—Hiller is probable but not confirmed. Make sure you check on his status before game time.
