Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks – March 2

Florida Panthers defenseman Brian Campbell

We went 3-0 in head to head matchups yesterday and placed in the money in two tournaments. For the year we are now 33-21 in head to heads. The lineup today only applies to games starting at 7PM or later. Since we are limited to only night games the player pool is also somewhat limited.

This is the lineup I’ll be playing at FanDuel:

LW: Jiri Tlusty $5,800—Tlusty is now owned in 99.9 percent of ESPN leagues as he beat the month of February into submission. He ended the month with a three point performance against the Penguins and I love his price at $5,800.

LW: Patrick Marleau $7,300—Even though Marleau has not scored in two games I like the fact he was still able to get 10 shots on net. He does have 12 goals on the year and I like him tonight against Nashville.

RW: Teemu Selanne $6,000—Selanne has 17 points in 19 games this season and scored last night.

RW: Pat Dwyer $3,800—We are digging deep here. Dwyer has two assists and seven shots in his past three games.

C: Sidney Crosby $9,900—Of course, he’s never a bad play.

C: Jonathan Huberdeau $5,300—Huberdeau has been snake bitten a little recently. He hasn’t scored a goal in four games but does have 23 shots over that time (including eight on Feb. 28). My unscientific take: he’s due.

D: Brian Campbell $4,800—Campbell has five points over his past two games. Ride the hot hand.

D: Roman Josi $4,100—Josi hurt us the other night with a minus-3 rating. I’m willing to forgive and forget. He’s averaging over 22 minutes of ice time per game and gets power play time. I like his price at $4,100.

G: Viktor Fasth $7,500—Fasth is probable but not confirmed. Make sure to check his status before 7PM.
