Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks – Feb. 23

Tampa Bay Lightning left wing Benoit Pouliot

I angered the gods yesterday. I boasted about my undefeated streak and they slammed me with three straight losses. I mentioned yesterday in my daily fantasy piece that a three game NHL night can cause a daily fantasy gamer to crash back to reality. I’m back in reality and firmly in the fantasy god’s doghouse. I’ve offered up fine wines and spices (and a dose of research) to make today’s picks work. Pray with me.

The following lineup will work for FanDuel’s early games:

LW: Benoit Pouliot $5,300

LW: Jiri Tlusty $5,700

RW: Jarome Iginla $6,500 Don’t be afraid to use Jakub Voracek here at $6,400.

RW: Ilya Kovalchuk $7,700

C: Claude Giroux $7,500

C: Nazem Kadri $5,400

D: Justin Schultz $4,900. I also like Raphael Diaz at $4,600 and he works for both the early and late games.

D: Cody Franson $5,000

G: Ilya Bryzgalov $6,900 NOTE: Bryzgalov is likely to start but not confirmed yet. Keep tabs on this.

This is one lineup I’m using for an Early Only contest:

LW

Since the games start early we had to be brief. Good luck, and may the daily fantasy gods be with you.
