FanDuel Daily Fantasy Hockey Picks – Feb. 13

Detroit Red Wings center Pavel Datsyuk

After a 6-0 run over the course of two days we fell off the wagon a little and went 0-2 last night. This brings us to 13-8 on the year. Not bad, but not exactly where we’d like to be. Today I’m leaning on some Detroit stars to bring us some FanDuel glory. With only four games tonight we’ll see a lot of team overlap.

LW: Pavel Datsyuk $7,700—It’s difficult to pass on Datsyuk right now. He had a power play goal and six shots against L.A. on Feb. 10. Over his past two games he has three points and 10 shots on goal.

LW: Jiri Hudler $5,800—Hudler saw over 21 minutes of ice time on Monday. He has looked great in his seven games with Calgary tallying three goals and  five assists.

RW: Vladimir Tarasenko $5,400—The insanley talented rookie has been frustrating FanDuelers over the past week. He has so much upside I’ll roll with him one more time at $5,400.

RW: Jarome Iginla $7,000—I believe the one goal next to his name on the stat sheet is simply bad luck. Iginla has 41 shots on goal this season and had six on Feb. 9. If he keeps shooting, the goals will come.

C: Henrik Zetterberg $8,900—He’s been an assist machine with 13 on the season. He also has the ability to give you some peripheral fantasy points like shots on goal and a positive plus/minus rating. Zetterberg also has three power play points over Detroit’s past two games.

C: Kyle Turris $5,600—Turris looked good against Buffalo yesterday with an assist and a plus-one rating. With our limited player pool, I’ll take him at $5,600.

D: Paul Martin $4,200—Martin is seeing a ton of ice time for the Penguins (over 28 minutes against New Jersey). More importantly, he’s seeing consistent power play minutes. I know Letang may return tonight—but I still like Martin’s value.

D: T.J. Brodie $3,800—I like what I have seen from Brodie and I’m really digging for points here. I don’t expect a goal but he should get a few shots on net and finish with a positive rating. If you’re not comfortable with Brodie you can always turn to Dylan Reese at $3,400.

G: Leland Irving $6,600—He’s the cheapest option we have and he looked good against Minnesota the last time he got a start.
