Fantasy Football Injury Report

Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew

We will be updating our injury report from resources across the league to help you make your last second fantasy football decisions.

Rob Gronkowski (out)—This doesn’t come as much of a surprise. This is good news for Aaron Hernandez owners and possibly Brandon Lloyd owners. Lloyd is questionable himself with a knee injury but is expected to play. The Patriots have long injury report this week. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen tweeted:

Maurice Jones-Drew (out)—MJD will miss his ninth straight game. Look to Montell Owens to pick up some of the slack this week—very limited slack.

Robert Griffin III (probable, knee) Rejoice RGIII owners. It looks like your savior is set to start this week. This is also good news for Garcon owners.

Ahmad Bradshaw (game time decision)—Bradshaw didn’t practice on Thursday but said, “I’m playing. I just have to get it through to Tom Coughlin and the training staff. As of right now, I feel like I can go and be ready Sunday.” (Giants.com). It really looks like Bradshaw will be ready for week 16 action. On Friday, Tom Coughlin said “He looked OK. As long as he continues to progress the way he has, he should be able to go.”

Jordy Nelson (out, hamstring)—The Green Bay Packers wideout is out this weekend with a hamstring injury. Look for more targets for Greg Jennings against the Titans.

LeSean McCoy (Concussion, probable)—Even though McCoy will play this weekend we don’t expect much from him. Andy Reid said he will share time with Bryce Brown.

Torrey Smith (questionable, concussion)—This is a tough one. According to Jason Butt of CBSSports.com Smith has “not been cleared for contact as [he] has yet to take the baseline test required for NFL players coming off of concussions.” Smith did return to practice on Wednesday and Harbaugh said he was “encouraged.” UPDATE: Torrey Smith will play today. (Pro Football Talk)

Dez Bryant—Bryant has a fractured index finger but still could be in for a big game against a porous Saints secondary.

Hakeem Nicks (probable)—Nicks practiced on Friday and C.D. Carter has Nicks ranked in the top 20 in his player rankings this week.

Sidney Rice (game time decision, knee)—Rice will have to prove to Pete Carroll his knee is ready for action on Sunday. If you don’t trust Rice, look to Doug Baldwin or even Golden Tate if you’re desperate.

Roddy White (Questionable, knee)—Although White is listed as questionable you should feel comfortable rolling with him this weekend. White is ranked 16th in C.D. Carter’s Week 16 rankings.

Kendall Wright (Questionable)—Wright didn’t practice this week. If he doesn’t play  (it appears he won’t) you can look to Nate Washington if you’re really digging at WR this week. UPDATE: Wright is inactive today.

Early Doucet (out, concussion)

Rashad Jennings (out, concussion)

Mikel LeShoure is good to go tonight (Saturday) against the Falcons.

Brandon Pettigrew is doubtful. Look elsewhere for help at TE.

Alex Green (questionable, concussion)—We’d be surprised to see Green in action this weekend. UPDATE: According to ESPN.com news services, Green will not play today. Ryan Grant will get the start for the Packers today.

Chris Ivory (questionable, hamstring)—We don’t expect Ivory to play. Even if he does play he only has limited fantasy value in a backfield that includes Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram.

Dustin Keller (Doubtful)—Keller hasn’t practiced all week so it doesn’t look for the Jets Tight End.

James Starks (out, knee)

Jonathan Stewart is inactive today. DeAngelo Williams will see his fair share of snaps.

Kicker Mike Nugent is inactive today.
