Perhaps the most athletic of the group, Thompson played linebacker, safety and running back during his time at Washington, though most scouts suggest linebacker is ultimately the best choice for him at the NFL level.
Thompson’s athleticism should bode well for him at linebacker with his ability to cover a wide range of space from sideline to sideline. He’s quick, explosive and takes quality angles in pursuit to the football.
Given his experience in the secondary, Thompson has great coverage skills and can cover much more space than most traditional linebackers. Thompson offers defenses a linebacker capable of keeping up with hybrid tight ends.
