2. Laken Tomlinson, Duke
Arguably the best guard in this crop, Tomlinson is a strong pass-protector and an ideal fit for a power-running team. He fires of the ball and packs a solid initial punch with the power to push defenders off the ball.
Tomlinson plays with an edge and it’s apparent when he plays. He has short-area quickness despite lacking elite athleticism or elite foot quickness for the position.
Tomlinson was a team captain and started all 52 games of his career at Duke. He’s a hard worker, practices hard and an excellent student. He was recruited by Ohio State as well, but chose to join the Blue Devils for a superior education.
