1. Cameron Erving, Florida State
The highest-rated center in the class this year, Erving is still learning on the job. Erving converted from the defensive side of the ball to the offensive line, and his rookie season will be his third year at the position.
In two years as the starting center with the Seminoles, Erving’s film makes the case that this is the position for him. He’s tough and will continue to get better.
Erving has good foot quickness, hand placement and attacks opposing defenders. He’s competitive and athletic, and offers some versatility across the offensive line. Still, center is best suited for him since he struggles at times against bull rushes.
