Victiv Daily Fantasy Basketball: Values and Lineup – January 7

Ingles

XN Sports is introducing a new daily fantasy site called Victiv, which has one of the best features in all of daily fantasy, in addition to a sleek design, and a few ways to play daily fantasy basketball.

Victiv has what is called a substitution position, which you can learn more about on the site. Essentially, it’s one extra position for under $5,000 (does not affect your salary cap) where you can select a bench player. This player will come in handy, as it replaces anyone in your lineup that scores less than the substitute. Think of it as a free mulligan, and an option to take a risk on a player.

For example, if you like a specific player one night but he is a game-time decision, put him into your lineups. The substitute can be his backup, or another player that you think could have an excellent night, and if your player does not play, no worries. In addition, this adds another level of strategy. On Victiv, the minimum price for a player is a lotlower than on other sites. You can afford to take risks with these cheap players, because if this player does not have an excellent game, your substitute can pick up the slack. Be sure to take advantage of this, and try Victiv today.

After you have signed up, be sure to take on Victron. This is Victiv’s computer, and if you beat it, you can win cash prizes. This is yet another way to play daily fantasy basketball.

On Victiv, you are given $50,000 in cap space to play a lineup composed of two guards, three forwards, a center, and two flex positions. As aforementioned, the substitute does not count against your cap. The scoring is as follows (taken directly from Victiv’s website):

– Point +1

– Rebound +1.25

– Assist +1.25

– Steal +2

– Block +2

– Turnover -0.5

How can we beat Victron, other players and win real money? First, sign up for Victiv here.

Second, take a look at XN Sports’ suggested value plays and lineup for Victiv for tonight’s slate:

Tonight’s slate is full with game-time decisions, so stay aware before tip-off.

Value Plays

Guard

No cheap values at guard tonight on Victiv.

Forward

Joe Ingles, Utah Jazz $3,000

Ingles was a star in his last game, flirting with a triple-double and crushing value on Victiv. He is likely to start again tonight, and play big minutes at shooting guard for the Jazz. At just $3,000 he can reach value with just 15 fantasy points. Ingles has reached value in three straight games, and has scored under a fantasy point per minute in those contests. Get him active against the Bulls tonight, who will likely have Kirk Hinrich defending him.

Justin Holiday, Golden State Warriors $2,400

Holiday is a GPP play tonight, as he is priced very low at just $2,400 on Victiv. He has cemented himself into the Warriors’ rotation as a guard off the bench, and has a big role in games where the Warriors are blowing the opponent out, which could happen tonight against the Pacers. Holiday would need just 12 fantasy points to reach value, which he has nearly doubled in the last three games. Get him into your lineups for cap relief in a GPP.

Trevor Booker, Utah Jazz $3,700

Booker is an excellent play each time Enes Kanter is out, as he reached value with relative ease. In each of the last three games without Kanter, Booker has reached at least six times salary in each game, and has averaged 10 points and nine rebounds in an average of 20 minutes of work per night. The last game, Booker had five fouls so was only able to play 17 minutes. Expect him to stay on the floor longer tonight, and reach value on Victiv, giving you three cheap plays at forward in order spend at guard and center.

Center

No cheap values at center on Victiv tonight.

Lineup

G – Trey Burke $5,800

G – Andrew Wiggins $6,800

F – Justin Holiday $2,400

F – Trevor Booker $3,700

F – Joe Ingles $3,000

C – Gorgui Dieng $7,700

FLEX – Chris Paul $9,900

FLEX – Blake Griffin $10,400

SUB – Nikola Mirotic

Good luck tonight.

*Keep an eye on injuries for the slate tonight, a lot can happen in a short amount of time.
