St. Louis Cardinals (Martinez) at Los Angeles Dodgers (Ryu)

I like Martinez in the long-term but using him against the Dodgers seems a bit irresponsible. The Cardinals aren’t exactly tearing the cover off the ball so I’ll probably just stay away from this team altogether tonight.

I like Ryu tonight a lot. Put it this way, Jon Jay leads the Cardinals in wRC+ against lefty pitching (min. 30 PAs). I’m not going to go after the expensive bats from the Dodgers tonight. Martinez is a bit of an unknown as far as an MLB starter goes and that always worries me. I don’t mind A-Gonz’s price but other than that, I’ll take a pass.
