Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup – May 4

Los Angeles Dodgers (Fife) at Miami Marlins (Fernandez)

Stephen Fife isn’t anything special so he’s avoidable. Also, DFSers would have to be crazy to start any Dodgers hitter, regardless of streak, against Fernandez at home. I’ll just avoid the Dodgers today altogether.

Fernandez is over 25-percent of budgets and most nights, that’s not a concern. What does concern me is that of all National League teams Fernandez has faced at least twice in his career, the Dodgers have the second-highest WHIP against him. Sure, it’s a small sample, but this is a massive chunk of the budget and has to be a near-lock. He’s a good anchor, but I worry he returns full value. I’ll just be looking for cheap Marlins hitters from this one.

Garrett Jones (1B) – $4371

Christian Yelich (OF) – $4300
