San Francisco Giants (Bumgarner) at Colorado Rockies (Morales)

While Bumgarner’s stats are inflated right now, it’s important to note that he is giving up more line drives (23.8-percent) than he ever has (previous career-high of 20.6-percent). So while things like his BABIP are inflated, there’s a reason for that. Until I see the numbers turn around, I am not risking him in Coors Field.

Michael Morse (OF) – $5886

Morales is a non-starter so we can get that out of the way.

Two guys that have mashed Bumgarner in the past are Carlos Gonzalez and Jordan Pacheco. There are problems here, though. CarGo was lifted in a game a couple of days ago due to left knee tendinitis. He says he hopes for no limitations and will play through, but we’ll see. Also, it’s far from certain that Pacheco gets the start tonight and we might now know until after rosters lock. Buyer beware.
