Chicago Cubs (Samardzija) at St. Louis Cardinals (Kelly)
As is the case with most starters going into St. Louis, I will be avoiding Jeff Samardzija tonight. He did do well against the Cards last year, posting an ERA a bit above 3.00 in two starts. It’ll take a man braver than myself to start him tonight, though. I’m not a big fan of most of their hitters tonight, either, so I would probably just avoid the Cubs altogether
Joe Kelly might not be a bad start tonight, for those looking for an extremely cheap option; in 23 innings (five appearances, three starts) last year against the Cubs, Kelly allowed just five earned runs and no home runs against. There are also some nice cheap hitters that might be worth the risk
Joe Kelly (SP) – $11,440
Kolten Wong (2B) – $4835
