6. Don’t Be Like The Bulls, Time A Recovery Just Right – It goes unsaid that the best owners always have an ear to the wire ground. If a quality asset is due back in two weeks, nab him with three weeks remaining.

But, there’s also something more weighted to be done when a recovery from major injury is involved.

Take Wilson Chandler. He was playing so-so since his return from a hamstring injury. But, as he’s gotten more accustomed to Brian Shaw’s schemes and lineups and was then told to be “more selfish” by the coaching staff, he’s put up a string of five games that are more in line with his pre-season potential. Hearing the coaching staff essentially tell him to be more greedy is a good indicator but so is a careful watch over a player’s game-to-game progress. You don’t have the time to monitor every player – that’s where XN Sports comes in – but you should be subscribed to what someone like Chandler, who can ball, is doing over the course of a few days. He might just turn it around.
