Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/23/17

Yesterday the Nationals picked up their 6th win in a row as they beat the Mets.  Bryce Harper is having an unreal season, proving he deserves the biggest contract in MLB history this offseason.  The O’s beat the Red Sox, taking Wright out of the game by the 3rd inning.  The back end of Boston’s rotation is sketchy, and they better pray for David Price to get back soon.  Aaron Judge destroyed a ball 457 feet to help lead the Yankees big over the Pirates.  The Yankee prospects are legit, and the league should watch out. Series are wrapping up today and we have a ton of afternoon games.  Make sure you get your lineups in early if you want players in those games

Low-Scoring Play

Washington Nationals @ New York Mets – Scherzer vs. Wheeler should be the pitching matchup of the day.  Without Cespedes I don’t fear the Mets lineup at all.  Reyes and Granderson – who should be the spark plugs getting on base – are both batting under .200.  Duda is striking out a ton – he’s now on the DL – and Bruce is a streaky hitter.  The Nationals should win their 7th in a row as Harper leads the league in batting average.  Usually I build my teams around two pitchers I like and cut cost on position players if needed.  I might just start building my team around Harper, he’s that good.

Targets: Scherzer. Harper

High-Scoring Play

Boston Red Sox @ Baltimore Orioles – At this point unless its Sale pitching, anyone can score runs on Boston.  The Orioles have been hitting a ton of home runs as their offense is looking good.  They should take advantage of the Red Sox young pitcher, Rodriguez. Machado is batting just over .200 this year, he is a better hitter than that, look for him to start to pick it up and get on base.

Targets: Trumbo, Machado, Davis

Undervalued Plays

Giancarlo Stanton – MIA – OF – Stanton isn’t cheap, however he is undervalued.  If you’re struggling to make a line up and can’t fit players like Harper, Betts, or Braun, look for Stanton, he is about $800-$1000 less and has just as many homeruns as them.  Jackie Bradley Jr. costs more than Stanton, if you ask me I’m taking Staton 9 times out of 10 over him.

Aaron Judge – NYY – OF – Judge has been performing well for the Yankees.  He is right behind Harper and Stanton in home run totals which is incredible to do.  He only costs $ 3700 and could easily have a multi HR game.
