Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 4/4/17

daily fantasy baseball

Day two is in the books and now everyone now has a game under their belts.  The New York Mets and L.A. Dodgers had the strongest performance of their opening days. Lucas Duda drove in a couple of runs for the Mets which is a good sign, seeing as he missed a large portion of last season.  Syndergaard gave New York a solid six innings with seven strikeouts, however, he didn’t pick up the win.  Clayton Kershaw had a strong showing in his debut and landed his first win.  Puig went 1-3 with a double and run scored which was a positive sign for the LA Fans.

Let’s take a look to see what day three has in store for us.

Projected Low-Scoring Game

Chicago Cubs @ St. Louis Cardinals – Jake Arrieta makes his season debut against Adam Wainwright.  Arrieta had a solid season last year going 18-8 with an ERA just above 3.  Wainwright had a similar season last year with a record of 13-9. Opening Night featured a great game with the Cardinals edging out the Cubs. Look for this rematch to be the same, and I would be surprised if more than five runs are scored with these pitchers on the mound.

Targets: Shwarber, Arrieta, Molina

Undervalued Players

Yadier Molina – STL- C – Molina was one of my targets above, however, $3000 for a catcher that can perform like Molina is a solid play. He doesn’t have great numbers vs Arrieta but missing on a catcher usually won’t break your lineup.

Aaron Judge – NYY – OF – Judge is one of the Yankees’ big prospects they are building their future around, but he could be hit-or-miss. If you’re struggling to make a lineup, he is a cheap OF that could hit home runs with ease. There is also the possibility that he will go 0-4, but he is the typical high-risk, high-reward daily fantasy option.
