Daily Fantasy Basketball: Cheap Advice 11/19/15

Point Guard

Jerryd Bayless ($4800, 18.8 USG) – As long as he’s starting and under $5000, plug Bayless in and move on. He’s having an outstanding 5 game stretch averaging 32.16 DK points per game. O.J. Mayo is playing today (season debut) and should probably cut into Bayless’ minutes but you can’t ignore his production of late.  I’d guess Mayo should see limited minutes in his return from injury, so I wouldn’t be too concerned with lesser playing time for Jerryd.

Shooting Guard

Jamal Crawford ($4600, 26.2 USG), Austin Rivers ($3900, 17.6 USG) – Crawford and Rivers are both listed here because I’d highly recommend using a combination of them to maximize value on such a small slate.  As of now, Chris Paul and J.J. Redick are both doubtful for tonights contest against the Warriors.  If both are ruled out, you’re looking at two likely starters playing in a high paced game (Clippers are projected to score 103.3 points) at a huge discount.

Small Forward

Andre Igoudala ($4900, 12.7 USG) – Surprisingly, Golden State is only a 6.5 favorite for tonights game against a Clippers team likely to be without Chris Paul and J.J. Redick.  I expect the Warriors to blow Los Angeles out being so short handed.  Look for the bench to get some significant run in garbage time and Iggy is always one to make the most of his opportunity.  He’s only had one game all season scoring under 20 DK points when playing 30 minutes or more.  I’m gonna be targeting a few players sitting on the Warriors bench tonight.

Power Forward

John Henson ($3800, 23.5 USG) – I’d recommend paying up for power forward tonight with all the value belonging to the guards. Blake Griffin should be a lock in all your lineups if you ask me but if you choose to go cheap, Henson has provided quality performances in back to back games averaging 21.5 DK points per game in limited minutes.  I’m not the hugest fan of this play, so you’ve been warned.  There’s really just slim pickings tonight when looking for salary relief so try to avoid going cheap here.

Center

Festus Ezeli ($4400, 17.9 USG) – As mentioned above, I expect this game to eventually get out of hand making most of the Warriors bench unit in play.  Clippers are second to last in points given up to opposing centers so if Ezeli gets anywhere near 25 minutes, expect positive results.  Warriors have the highest team total of the night at 110 expected points scored so there’s plenty of love to go around.
