FIFA World Cup Power Rankings Updated Through The QuarterFinals

Per Mertesacker

4. Brazil ( 7 )

Neymar? Out. Thiago Silva? Out. Willian? Doubteful. It’s not looking too good for the host nation. They surprisingly beat Colombia with ease and put James Rodriguez to rest, but with Thiago Silva getting a yellow card in consecutive matches, he will not be able to participate in the semi final matchup against Germany. Neymar suffered a fractured vertebrae in the 88th minute of play against Colombia and will miss the rest of the World Cup. He will not require surgery and thankfully the fracture isn’t career threatening.
