Daily Fantasy Baseball DFS Value Update and Lineup: June 4

Stephen Strasburg

St. Louis Cardinals (Wainwright) at Kansas City Royals (Vargas)

Wainwright, until this year, was always a pitcher that pitched better at home; his ERA/WHIP splits for road games are about 0.61 and 0.14, respectively, higher on the road than at home. Kansas City also has a low K-rate (ask Shelby Miller). I’m sure Wainwright will be fine tonight but with the solid cheaper options available, I’ll stay away for tonight. I’ll also be looking at the St. Louis outfield specifically tonight.

Matt Holliday (OF) – $5307

Allen Craig (OF) – $5694

St. Louis is actually second-last in baseball in team wOBA against lefties. I don’t particularly trust Vargas but he’s not a bad target for a fairly cheap, large GPP play. I’ll avoid the Royals bats against Wainwright, though.
