Daily Fantasy Basketball: DraftStreet Value Plays and Lineup – April 13

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

There is an seven-game slate today in the NBA. Get your lineups in as soon as possible. There is only a few days left in the regular season, so get your bankroll as high as you can before the playoffs!

Value Plays

Guard

Mike Conley MEM ($13,349)

Cue the point guard against the Lakers play. For those who do not know, any starter who plays against the Lakers this season will likely perform well and reach great value, but point guards are a special breed. The Lakers have given up 107 points or more in 10 of their last 15 games including seven games of 119 points or more. When an offense scores a lot of points, the point guard is the beneficiary. Mike Conley is the starting point guard facing the Lakers tonight, and at a price of $13.3K, he is nearly a must start. Conley has four or more assists in 14 of his last 15 games, and has scored in double-digits in 13 of his last fifteen. He is averaging 25 fantasy points per game in his last seven contests and tonight he looks to increase that average. In the Lakers last three games, opposing point guards have totaled: a triple-double (Steph Curry 30 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists), 28 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds to the Rockets point guards (James Harden also had 33 points and 12 assists), and Chris Paul scored 23 points, four rebounds and six assists (in just 28 minutes). If Conley can play 30 minutes or more tonight, he has the opportunity to score at least 30 fantasy points. Get him into your lineups.

Forward

James Johnson MEM ($8,181)

Johnson has had a roller coaster of a schedule in his last four games. He has faced the Spurs and Heat, then the Sixers and tonight caps it off against the Lakers. Johnson has seen the extremes in terms of fantasy matchups, but has shown consistency in the last three games. Against the Spurs and Heat, Johnson was able to contribute 45.75 fantasy points in 56 minutes. Against the Sixers he was able to accrue 18.5 fantasy points in 25 minutes. At his low price of $8.1K, great value is anything north of 22 fantasy points. Considering he is averaging just under 21 fantasy points per contest in his last three games and tonight’s matchup is against the Lakers, that level can be reached. In addition to allowing just under 110 points per game, the Lakers only rebound at a rate of 45.6 percent. Johnson could potentially see seven or more rebounds to go along with double-digit points on his way to great value. Check the Grizzlies lineup tonight, but if Johnson is the starter, go with him against a porous Lakers team.

Center

Joakim Noah CHI ($18,354)

Noah and the Bulls take on the New York Knicks today in Madison Square Garden. Noah has been one of the most efficient players in daily fantasy basketball this season, and continues to be worth his price. In the last 15 games he has gone under 39 points just five times. In those five games he has scored 36, 37, 36, 29 and 25 points. One reason why Noah has always been an attractive play in daily fantasy basketball is because of his high floor.  He is almost guaranteed to get at least a double-double, with serious contributions in rebounds, points, and/or assists. Considering Noah flirts with a triple-double night in and night out tells you why he is one of the best centers in the league in terms of fantasy points. Tonight, the Knicks will try to stop the former Florida Gator. New York has been playing better defense of late, allowing their opponent to score over 100 in just two of their last six games. But they still struggle to rebound the basketball at 49.1 percent. Get Noah into your lineup and worry about the other positions.
