Daily Fantasy Basketball: DFS Value Plays and Lineup – February 18

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.25 or higher. Anything above 2.25 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

What seemed like the longest All-Star break in NBA history is over, and we are back to DFS. Every player is fresh after getting some much needed rest before the home stretch, and daily fantasy basketball will be at its finest tonight. There is a nine game slate tonight in the NBA, and some good players could be had. Get your lineups in tonight.

Value Plays

Guard

Courtney Lee, MEM ($9,148)

Courtney Lee has played 30 minutes or more in 12 of his last 14 games, including the last eight. For a player that takes up just over $9K of your budget, that is a bargain in itself. Not to mention that Lee is averaging 22 fantasy points in his last six games, and has become one of the staples of the Grizzlies offense. Lee will once again be one of the hotter names in the DFS world tonight, so take advantage of his low price. The Grizzlies take on the Knicks tonight in what could be a low-scoring affair, but do not worry as Lee is worth the low price of $9K.

Forward

Ersan Ilyasova, MIL ($8,465)

Ilyasova will be a starter in the front-court for the Bucks as long as Larry Sanders is out, and at $8.4K, there may not be a better value on DraftStreet. He is averaging 22 fantasy points in his last three games, and should he reach that again tonight, his value would be at over 2.5 times his salary, which is great. The Bucks face off against the Magic tonight, so there is not a matchup problem for Ilyasova. Expect him to be one of the hotter names in the DFS community tonight, and do not miss the boat.

Center

Tyler Zeller, CLE ($6,550)

With Anderson Varejao out, Zeller’s value skyrockets for tonight’s clash against the woeful Philadelphia 76ers. Zeller will need just 15 fantasy points for good value. Since the Sixers are the worst defensive team in the NBA, and equally as bad at rebounding, Zeller makes for a great fantasy option tonight. A double-double is not out of the question, which would bring elite value to Zeller’s name tonight.
