Daily Fantasy Basketball: DFS Value Plays and Lineup – February 3

On DraftStreet, there is a $100,000 cap, which is used for eight players; three forwards, three guards, a center, and a utility player. In terms of value, should a player cost $15,000, incredible value would be 45 fantasy points. Unlike other daily sites, playing for five times value is not the goal here, as it is nearly impossible to find on a consistent basis. As a $100K salary cap would yield about 225-255 fantasy points for a good night, the best value is normally 2.5 or higher. Anything above 2.5 is a great value.

If you have not played over at DraftStreet, be sure to check the scoring system first, as it varies from other sites. Head over to make your deposit and start playing tonight!

DraftStreet Scoring: PTS: 1 pt, REB: 1.25 pt, AST: 1.5 pt, TO: -1 pt, Missed FT: -0.5 pt, Missed FG: -0.5 pt, STL: 2 pt, BLK: 2pt.

Tonight in the NBA, there is an 11-game slate with three late games. Get your lineups in as soon as possible.

Value Plays

Guard

Joe Johnson, BKN ($7,069)

The Brooklyn Nets have the good fortune of playing against the Sixers tonight, and Joe Johnson could be the biggest beneficiary. At just over $7K, 20 fantasy points would be incredible value for Johnson. That 20 is also very reachable for him considering the fast pace the Sixers play at and the shooting percentage they allow. The Sixers allow opposing teams to shoot over 46 percent from the floor and are allowing just under 110 points per game. Johnson will be played by many tonight, join the party.

Forward

Patrick Patterson, TOR ($8,391)

Keep an eye on PatPat’s status because he is questionable to play tonight. But if he does, he is a great value against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are 21st in the NBA in rebounding percentage, and Patterson is averaging six rebounds in the last eight games, but has gone over six boards in five of those games. At his price, 20 points would be a great value and seeing as Patterson has averaged that in his last fifteen days, he is a great value tonight should be play.

Center

Anderson Varejao, CLE ($12,442)

Varejao is another one to keep an eye on, as he has missed his last few games. But he could return tonight against the Dallas Mavericks. If you have started big men against Dallas before, you know what Varejao can do tonight. The Mavericks are 28th in the NBA in rebound percentage, and 21st in the NBA in giving up fantasy points to centers. Should he play, Varejao is a steal at $12.4K. 30 fantasy points would be great value, and that is a half point less than his average over his last four games.
